My Promise To You.

It is my promise to you, that whether studying vaccinated and in-person, or virtually, you will receive the highest level of transparency, commitment, dedication, professionalism, and musicianship from myself.

One-on-One Flute Lessons

I am experienced in teaching C Flute, Piccolo, Alto Flute, and Bass Flute. I teach students ranging in ability from beginner to college level, between ages 10 - adult.

I cater each and every one of my lessons to each and every one of my students. I take the time to learn about my students’ abilities, likes and dislikes, and goals in order to craft the perfect lesson experience for all involved.

Small Group Flute Lessons

In my home studio, I teach small group lessons of 2-5 people at a time.

I am experienced in leading middle school and high school band sectionals of larger groups, however these must be held on school property.

Group lessons are a low pressure, high fun environment that fosters friendship and teamwork, creates good practice habits and healthy competition, and can improve rhythm amongst the players.

My Hope For You.

It is my hope that you will leave every lesson feeling fulfilled with what you accomplished, and with a greater love and appreciation for the music we have created together, and for the arts as a whole.

Why Take Private Lessons?

Confidence5.png

Build Confidence.

Struggling through those first lessons is a challenge unto itself. Not hitting the notes, playing scales improperly, or playing with a less than ideal tone can test the mettle of even the most patient among us. Finding the grit to continue and improve is not just a key to playing an instrument well, it’s a key to one of the life’s cornerstones for success: confidence.

Boost Social Skills.

Introducing music lessons to children can yield profound effects on their social development. In groups, learning music fosters greater trust and cooperation; individually, music lessons alleviate boredom, loneliness, and tension by giving children a fun outlet and something to look forward to.

Discipline2.png

Cultivate Patience and Discipline.

There is no shortcut to playing a musical instrument. It takes time and effort to become competent. The process itself teaches patience and discipline with or without the child realizing it.

Encourage Creativity3.png

Encourage Creative Self-Expression.

The study of music helps children to find their creativity and allows them an avenue to express it outwardly. The direction creativity takes is limited only by the desire and devotion of the student.

Music becomes an avenue to finding your agency and voice no matter your path through life.
